"Power" series continues at Faith

This Sunday we are looking at "Power Over Sin"

As we come to the last sermon in our "Power" series, we have seen Micah dealing with some tough issues.  Yet he is going to close on a positive note.   There is hope for the people of God and He is going to deal with their sin and their is hope for a future in which God will help them overcome their past and their sin.

What does the message of this Old Testament prophet mean to me?  There is hope for me also, if I have sinned, if I have failed God can restore me if I will let Him.

My main point this Sunday is:

POWER OVER SIN BEGINS IN THE HEART OF GOD

He wants us to get victory over sin.  Join us this Sunday as we finish out this series, our core text is:

19 He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19 (NKJV)

LET'S GET BUSY FOR GOD

Jeff Riley will be bringing a message Sunday night  from Zechariah

So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, "What are these, my lord?"
Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord."
So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts.
'Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of "Grace, grace to it!" ' "
Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying:
"The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you.
10 For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth."
11 Then I answered and said to him, "What are these two olive trees--at the right of the lampstand and at its left?" Zechariah 4:4-11 (NKJV)

The above picture was taken last week here at church, pleading for someone to paint a Sunday School room here at Faith.  I posted it to Facebook and we had four ladies volunteer to take this project.  That is great and we are so thankful for the servant spirit we sense in these ladies.  Thank you  for your willingness to serve our Lord.
