Special guest all day this Sunday at Faith

Follow us on Facebook
This Sunday morning Eric Simpson will be our guest speaker.  Eric is a missionary to England and has been a part of our Faith mission family for several years, here is an excerpt from a recent prayer letter.

Hello once again from your partners in ministry located in Rossington, England. Summer is at its peak here. Temperature wise that doesn’t mean much. We were sweltering (low 90’s which is roasting for here) a couple weeks ago, but yesterday I wore a jacket in the morning! Thank you once again for your faithful prayer, love and sacrificial giving so we can be In the place God has set us. The family is doing well. Chad is back from university. Courtney and husband Adam are with us for a few weeks from their university town. Chase is just plain loads of fun at 9 years old. Lisa is doing well though struggling with some chest pains. She has had an angiogram and all Is well. Please pray the Lord would remove these pains.

GOSPEL CONCERT WITH JIMMIE MCKNIGHT

This Sunday night Jimmie Mcknight will be in concert at Faith.  Jimmie has been at our church several times and the Faith family has responded enthusiastically to his ministry in song.  Hope you can join us this Sunday at 6 PM.

Here is a recent quote from a newspaper article about him:

The Rev. Jimmie McKnight may be retired from his day job, but he's as busy as ever. He is associate pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church in St. Albans, WVA. And about four days a week, he's out singing everywhere from churches to nursing homes to prisons, where the evangelism is as important as the music.

My name is Billy Price and I have been the pastor of Faith Baptist Church for 38 years.  I graduated from Lynchburg Baptist College in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1975.  It is now known as Liberty University.  Upon graduation our little family of three moved to Covington Virginia to begin a new church.  Elaine, my wife; Robbie, my son and myself  started our grand adventure.  I was soon blessed with a daughter, Robin.  People often ask me did I know when I started I would be here 38 years later, I can honestly say no and God hasn't given me a reason leave.  I have enjoyed my ministry in the mountains of Virginia, if it is His will I hope to finish my race here, but that's up to Him.
