We challenge everyone that is not already working in VBS to “Observe or Serve” that night. We will be designating our evening service to this purpose. I had the funeral for John Kaptis today.  He was Nicole's boyfriend who was tragically killed in a crash last week.  Nicole shared with me that he had reconfirmed his faith since coming with her to Faith.  He loved the outdoors and especially fishing.  When we arrived at the Hylton Cemetary in Earlhurst, Virginia it was raining steady, but as soon as the procession headed up the winding dirt road the rain stopped, it felt like God reached down and turned off a faucet.  It was fitting in that beautiful setting to have a service for someone who loved God's creation.  I was talking about the hope that carrys us through times like this and the moment I began talking about Christ returning with our loved ones a beautiful shaft of sunlight broke through the clouds and lit up the area we were in, it was an awesome moment.  It was like God was telling Nicole and the whole family I am still here. So if you are going through a hard time don't forget He is still here and He still cares.  Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)       Hope to see you Sunday
