Faith Connection: The mission trip is a go for this Saturday

This Sunday I will be preaching from these verses:
11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalm 30:11-12 (NKJV)
The sermon title is "Dancing at the Funeral Home" In Psalm 30 God moves His servant David from the depths of despair to joy so great he had to dance. What must transpire to see this marvelous transformation? Join us this Sunday morning as we seek to learn from the Bible how to cope with the sorrows of our lives.

Harry Newman is the teacher of our largest adult Sunday School class, he has been teaching the Bible for over 30 years. Harry is a popular lay speaker at our church and this Sunday night he will be taking us on an Adventure in Scripture. He will begin in the book of James and then introduce us to several major Bible characters who point us to the basics of living in a closer walk with God. Hope you will join us this Sunday night at 6 PM in the worship center.

On Saturday, August 10^th, a crew from FBC will leave for Rainelle, WV to help missionary John Wyatt complete work on a food pantry for their area and clear property surrounding a church that has just reopened in the area. The team is leaving at 7 AM from the church parking lot. Please pray for this team for their safety and effectiveness as they try to help one of our missionaries reach his area for Christ. Here you see the building they will be upgrading for the food pantry.
