This Sunday At Faith . . . (AM)
This Sunday I will finish the series on "STORMS". This Sunday I will be looking at "Paul". In Acts 27 Paul encounters a fierce storm, but he was a prisoner on the ship when the storm hit, I believe God had Paul there not for his own benefit but for the well being of those who were traveling with him. Sometimes God allows us to face storms to be an encouragement to those who are going through the same storm. In other words the storm is not primarily to help you grow though it will, but to give you an opportunity to serve others in the storm.
And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken it he began to eat. Then they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves.Acts 27:35-36 (NKJV)
My core thought this Sunday will be; "The Storm is My Chance to Encourage Others".
This Sunday Adam, Doug and Katrina will be singing this song by Casting Crowns,"PRAISE YOU IN THE STORM"
I was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
[Chorus:]
And I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to you
And you raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You
But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
[Chorus]
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
[Chorus x2]

Mud pit on new land
Last Sunday my youngest grandson Luke decided to try out the mud pit on the new land he walked out into the 4 inches of mud and promptly got stuck, needless to say we had a very interesting afternoon. His brother Evan ran in behind him to rescue his brother, no one was hurt just some muddy clothes. :)
It was great to have my son in-law Matt preach last Sunday.
Luke Bradley will be speaking at our nursing home ministry this Sunday at the Brian Center
Hope to see you Sunday
