This Sunday in the Worship Center we continue looking at the Good Life.  The prophet Jeremiah told the people of Judah to ask where the good way is, they were headed for a terrible disaster, Jeremiah's job was to warn them.  We saw last week that right priorities lead to the Good Life, this week we will discover that right thinking leads to the Good Life, hope you can join us this Sunday.  Jeff has planned a very special Communion service for us tonight.  The Praise Team,Karen Bradberry, responsive reading and congregational singing will all blend together for a special worship experience.  Join us at 6 PM this evening in the Worship Center. Join us for a live webcast in the fellowship room following the evening service.   This 90 minute program is a response to recent events in Houston Texas.   Recently in Houston Texas several Houston Pastors were contacted by their local government to hand over church documents.  This webcast will encourage us to focus on the freedom to live out our faith free from government intervention or monitoring. FALL INTO FUN       This past Sunday we had our fall outreach at Faith. We had a great turnout as between 400-500 people visited our church property.  We gave out all of our food, candy and gifts.  It was a great event, I want to thank Kathleen All and her great team of volunteers for a great event.   Many people from the community came by and expressed their appreciation for this event.  Please pray that we can see some of the unchurched  visit soon at Faith.

It's not too late to join in the Beth Moore Bible Study on the boook of Revelation.  This study is going on in the Women of Faith Sunday School class which meets in room 8 at 9 AM every Sunday On January 18, 2015 we will begin a very special campaign here at Faith.  We will spend several months covering the entire Bible using "The Story".   The Story is an abridged, chronological Bible that reads like a novel. Great service Wednesday night with Ernie and Hilda Harmon. Ernie has served as missionary to Mexico for 47 years, they are pictured here with theirMission Moment representative Debbie Brumfield  Congratulations to Jonathan and Charrisa on their wedding last Saturday My name is Billy Price and I have been the pastor of Faith Baptist Church for 39 years.  I graduated from Lynchburg Baptist College in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1975.  It is now known as Liberty University.  Upon graduation our little family of three moved to Covington Virginia to begin a new church.  Elaine, my wife; Robbie, my son and myself  started our grand adventure.  I was soon blessed with a daughter, Robin.  People often ask me did I know when I started I would be here 39 years later, I can honestly say no and God hasn't given me a reason leave.  I have enjoyed my ministry in the mountains of Virginia, if it is His will I hope to finish my race here, but that's up to Him.
