This Sunday I will be looking at the "Why of Christmas" from Galatians 4:5-7
5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"
7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Galatians 4:5-7 (NKJV) Last week we looked at the "When" of Christmas this week we are looking at the "Why". When God created man He said it was good. But man rebelled against God and has been in rebellion since that time. So God wanted to restore man to his proper relationship with his God. The why of Christmas is so that God can received glory in the highest through His restored creation and that was made possible through Jesus Christ.
